Fault Codes

F1 Main motor tripped

Possible cause:

The over-current relay of the main motor has tripped and the motor has stopped.

F10 Oil filter full

Possible cause:

The main motor has stopped.
The indicator shows that the oil filters are full.

F11 Switch circulation pump in position MAN

Possible cause:

The main motor has stopped.
The circulation pump key switch on the pump unit is in the MAN position.

F12 Door strapping unit/wire puller open

Possible cause:

All solenoid valves are de-energized.
The access doors to the strapping unit, the needle frame or the side covers under the needles are open. All press and strapping movements have stopped.

F13 Door/cover prepress/main press open/emergency stop

Possible cause:

The main motor has stopped.
All solenoid valves are de-energized.
One or more of the emergency stop buttons or safety interlocks has tripped.
An access door may be open.

F14 Prepress backwards when main press is running forwards

Possible cause:

All solenoid valves are de-energized.
The prepress has moved backwards and left the front limit switch as the main press advanced. This occurs when the press is overfilled.
This error can occur in automatic mode only.

F15 Main press running forward when prepress is in rear position

Possible cause:

All solenoid valves are de-energized.
The main press has left its rear limit switch when the prepress is in the rear position.
This error can occur in automatic mode only. It is caused by leaks in the valves or manual operation of the valves.

F16 Extra friction flap pump motor has tripped

Possible cause:

The electric friction flap pump motor has stopped.

F17 Photocell in hopper blocked

Possible cause:

The conveyor system has stopped.
The photocells in the hopper have been obstructed for more than 10 seconds with the prepress at its rear position.
The material distributor is inserted when a photocell indicates full hopper.

F18 Low oil level

Possible cause:

Shown if the hydraulic oil level is getting too low. If it gets even lower F08 will oc¬cur and the press stops.

F19 Time too long prepress forward

Possible cause:

All solenoid valves are de-energized.
The prepress has been moving forward for more than 30 seconds.
This error can occur in the automatic mode only.

F2 Material distributor tripped

Possible cause:

The material distributor and the conveyor system have stopped.
The over-current relay of the material distributor motor has tripped.
The revolution guard of the material distributor has stopped the material distributor and the conveyor system.

F20 Time too long main press forward

Possible cause:

All solenoid valves are de-energized.
The main press has been moving forward for more than 30 seconds.
This error can occur in the automatic mode only.

F21 Time too long main press backward

Possible cause:

All solenoid valves are de-energized.
The main press has been moving backwards for more than 30 seconds.
This error can occur in the automatic mode only.

F22 Time too long prepress backward

Possible cause:

All solenoid valves are de-energized.
The prepress has been moving backwards for more than 30 seconds.
This error can occur in the automatic mode only.

F23 Time too long twister forward

Possible cause:

All solenoid valves are de-energized.
The twister has been moving forward for more than 30 seconds.
This error can occur in the automatic mode only.

F24 Time too long twister backward

Possible cause:

All solenoid valves are de-energized.
The twister has been moving backwards for more than 30 seconds.
This error can occur in the automatic mode only.

F25 Time too long needles upward

Possible cause:

All solenoid valves are de-energized.
The needles have been moving upwards for more than 30 seconds.
This error can occur in the automatic mode only.

F26 Time too long needles downward

Possible cause:

All solenoid valves are de-energized.
The needles have been moving downward for more than 30 seconds.
This error can occur in the automatic mode only.

F27 Time too long twisting unit upward

Possible cause:

All solenoid valves are de-energized.
The twisting unit has been moving upwards for more than 30 seconds.
This error can occur in the automatic mode only.

F28 Time too long twisting unit inward

Possible cause:

All solenoid valves are de-energized.
The twisting unit has been moving inward for more than 30 seconds.
This error can occur in the automatic mode only.

F29 Sensor main press defect

Possible cause:

All solenoid valves are de-energized.
The main press sensor is defect or an incorrect signal is given.
This error is indicated only in automatic mode. In manual mode the baler stops without indication on the main control panel display.

F3 Conveyor tripped

Possible cause:

The main motor and oil cooler have stopped. The over-current relay of the oil cooler has tripped. The soft starter or frequency control has tripped.

F30 Sensor prepress defect

Possible cause:

All solenoid valves are de-energized.
The prepress sensor is defect or an incorrect signal is given.
This error is indicated only in automatic mode. In manual mode the baler stops without indication on the main control panel display.

F32 Sensor needles defect

Possible cause:

All solenoid valves are de-energized.
One of the needle limit switches is defective or an incorrect combination has oc¬curred, (e.g. needles detected at upper and lower positions simultaneously).
This error is indicated only in automatic mode. In manual mode the baler stops without indication on the main control panel display.
The needles have taken too long to start their downward movement.

F33 Sensor twisting unit defect

Possible cause:

All solenoid valves are de-energized.
The twisting unit limit switches are defective or an incorrect combination has oc¬curred (e.g. twisting unit detected at upper and lower positions simultaneously).
This error is indicated only in automatic mode. In manual mode the baler stops without indication on the main control panel display.

F37 Prepress obstructed

Possible cause:

All solenoid valves are de-energized.
The prepress has been moving for more than 90 seconds, without managing a full stroke.
The obstruction recurs frequently.

F38 Material distributor sensor defect or door open

Possible cause:

All solenoid valves are de-energized.
The material distributor door is open.
The material distributor is not fully inserted or retracted when running the baler in its automatic mode and the door is closed.
The material distributor limit switches are defective.
This error is indicated only in automatic mode. In manual mode the baler stops without indication on the main control panel display.

F39 Time too long cutter backward

Possible cause:

All solenoid valves are de-energized.
The cutter has been moving inward for more than 30 seconds.
This error can occur in the automatic mode only.

F4 Oil cooler tripped

Possible cause:

The main motor and oil cooler have stopped. The over-current relay of the oil cooler has tripped.

F42 Main press backwards when strapping

Possible cause:

All solenoid valves are de-energized.
The main press has left the front position during the strapping cycle.
The needles are reversed automatically to their upper position. When the needles have reached their upper position, or if the movement takes more than 5 seconds, the main motor stops.

F44 Bale length sensor defect

Possible cause:

This error is indicated if the main press has moved forward for at least 60 seconds but the bale length monitor gives no pulse, or if the main press makes 7 cycles without the bale length meter giving any pulse.

F5 Oil heater tripped

Possible cause:

The oil heater has stopped.
The over-current relay of the oil heater has tripped.

F50 Time too long twister 2 forward

Possible cause:

Please see error message 23

F51 Time too long twister 2 backward

Possible cause:

Please see error message 24

F52 Time too long needles 2 upward

Possible cause:

Please see error message 25

F53 Time too long needles 2 downward

Possible cause:

Please see error message 26

F54 Time too long twisting unit 2 upward

Possible cause:

Please see error message 27

F55 Time too long twisting unit 2 inward

Possible cause:

F56 Sensor twister 2 defect

Possible cause:

Please see error message 31

F57 Sensor needles 2 defect

F58 Sensor twisting unit 2 defect

Possible cause:

F6 Circulation pump tripped

Possible cause:

The main motor and circulation pump has stopped.
The over-current relay of the circulation pump has tripped.

F60 Perforator tripped

Possible cause:

Only qualified personnel (19)

F62 Perforator inserted but not running

Possible cause:

Only qualified personnel (19)

F63 Perforator sensor defect

Possible cause:

Only qualified personnel (19)

F64 Time too long wire cutter

Possible cause:

All solenoid valves are de-energized.
The wire cutter has been moving inward for more than 30 seconds.
This error can occur in the automatic mode only.

F65 Time too long wire cutter 2

Possible cause:

Please see error message 64

F7 Material distributor inserted but not running

Possible cause:

The material distributor is in the hopper but not switched on.
This error can occur only in the automatic mode, with the main motor on.

F71 Suction pipe blocked

Possible cause:

Main motor, oil heater and circulation pump have stopped.
The circuit breakers on the valves on the suction pipe of the pumps indicate that the valves are not quite open.

F8 Low oil level

Possible cause:

The main motor, the oil heater and the circulation pump have stopped.
The oil level safety interlock indicates that the hydraulic oil level in the oil tank is too low.

F80 Fuse tripped

Possible cause:

F81 Any motor protection tripped

Possible cause:

F82 Oil temperature too low

Possible cause:

The temperature of the hydraulic oil is under +5º

F83 Oil temperature sensor defect

Possible cause:

The temperature sensor is defect or an incorrect signal is given.

F9 High oil temperature indicated

Possible cause:

The main motor has stopped.
The sensor has tripped because the hydraulic oil temperature exceeds the maximum value 70ºC

F98 Check all parameter settings

Possible cause:

This message occurs when an adjustable parameter has been set to an incorrect value.
This error can occur in the automatic mode only.

F99 PLC cold start, check all settings

Possible cause:

This message occurs when a PLC fault has cancelled any setting (times, counts, pressures, etc.) or when the E-prom of the PLC has been removed or exchanged.

M41 Strapping wire broken

Possible cause:

Optional feature.
It occurs when a strapping wire has snapped or a wire feed is empty.

M43 Needles have left limit switch

Possible cause:

All solenoid valves are de-energized.
The needles have left their position but the baler is not performing a strapping cycle.
The needles are reversed automatically to their upper position. When the needles have reached their upper position, or if the movement takes more than 5 seconds, the main motor stops.

M48 Press (+) or (-)

Possible cause:

This message occurs when the baler is started and the automatic mode is chosen. Press (+) or (-) to start the press cycle.

M49 Standby mode – motor may start without warning

Possible cause:

This message occurs as a warning when the motor is set to stop during idle periods. The motor can start without prior warning/signal.

M70 Warning from external equipment

Possible cause:

M72 Needles have not stopped in the middle position

Possible cause:

The needles have not stopped in the middle position after finished strapping.

M73 The baler has stopped in its start position

Possible cause:

This message occurs if any equipment controlled by the baler is not ready to receive bales. When connected equipment is ready the baler starts automatically.
