Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and dynamic Projects Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the successful planning, execution, and completion of projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a strategic mindset, and a proven track record in managing multiple projects simultaneously. You will work closely with clients, stakeholders, and team members to ensure that objectives are met, and expectations are exceeded.

The successful candidate will be part of the Presona team that visions a world where recycling just works. At Presona we supply and manufacture our own range of recycling equipment from fully automatic balers to chain conveyors, all supplied to leading retailers across the UK and Ireland.

Our main office is based in Bridgwater, Somerset however, you could be based from home as a satellite engineer depending on your geographical location. Every location in the UK and Ireland is considered.

The Job

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Projects Management

• Baler / Item selection – Aid in choosing the correct solution for the customer
• Calculations - Thru put / power to prove the selection above and for customer’s reference
• Supplier Quotes – Gain quotations from supplier to aid in project costings
• Quotation – Support build-up of quote
• Site surveys – Measuring and detailing all aspects of the customers proposed baling area.
• Project Schedules - Planning of every milestone and task of the project.
• Parts lists / Cutting lists - Compile for each project/item to aid in control of parts
• Order - fulfil cutting lists / order of components
• Risk Assessments & Method Statements – Installation documentation and supporting evidence.
• Warranty – cover any issues with new equipment whilst under warranty. Communications with relevant parties (i.e. new baler – Presona AB) catalogue costs involved.
• Costings – catalogue costs involved with each project whilst running
• Snagging Issues – resolve any issues with new installations that have arisen
• Sign off – get a final signature from the customer to show all work complete.
• Communication – regular discussions/conversations/meetings with the customer and suppliers
• Organisation of weekly Projects Meeting at Presona UK to keep all members of the business updated
• As part of the Sales Team and process; working closely with the Sales Manager to secure profitable sales for the business

Design/R&D

• Drawings – Site layouts / Sign off / Pit Casting
• Drawings (Technical) – Electrical schematics / Detailed manufacture (Profile / Crease / Fabrication)
• Design of conveyors – 3D builds of each layout
• Design of Auxiliary Items – Bale tracks / chutes / Hoppers / Wire Guides etc.
• Research and Development on issues on existing machine / conveyor etc.
• Development of methods/parts to support current machines – inc. work arounds for obsolete parts
• Development of methods/parts to aid future machines.


Health and Safety Management

• Monitor - identify any possible Risks, Policies and/or Hazards
• Risk Assessments – compile the risks and detail work arounds / better solutions for the risks
• Inspections / Testing – any items required to be tested / examined regular, catalogue and done at set intervals
• Supporting Information – gather the latest documentation to aid in a better understanding of the risks and ways to keep staff and visitors safe.
• Toolbox Talks – regular data sheets to provide staff will recent identified risk / topics
• Method statements – to set out a clear way of working to help keep people from harm.


Quality and ISO Management

• Quality Control - of Built items before leaving the factory
• Quality – setting objectives – i.e. checking work and used data/forms inside the workplace that they are current and relevant
• Audits – current polices / procedures / planning and management of task – i.e. making sure the documentation for the iso’s are kept up to date and relevant. Also, staff use the ISO in the workplace, which in turn will make things easier and safer.
• ISO – meetings to check the current stage of the ISO and its policies and documentation to show the external auditor.

Probationary Period: 6 months
